Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) in the television show. The role she played earned her an Emmy nod for the best supporting Actress category. She also received two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by the cast of a comedy.
Her family was based within St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. Her love for performance and theater began at a very young girl.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her roots. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. Her role was later reprised as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run at the Old Globe Theatre.
