Katherine Heigl has opened up about how she was raised in a "white bubble" and how this realisation has impacted how she raises her multiracial adopted children. She revealed in an interview recent interview that, with regards to skin colour the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her adopted sister by South Korea she realized just how differently society treats the children. In my interview, I asked Meg how she was treated when in public, in the presence of or without parents, she said it was different. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I made me feel." The singer became angry at the time, and chose to use that anger to help her adopted daughters. Heigl shares a son of 4 year with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. and then Adalaide aged 8 who is now older and was Black in 2012.
