Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's top popular actors. She is known for her strong character who are as fragile. Linney was born to an unmarried mother, who was a nurse. She became interested with theatre in holidays with her father, who was famous. Her studies in acting were through Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. She began her Broadway career after her graduation after which she made her TV debut in the next year. Innumerable appearances in film, TV and stage productions since then. Through her entire career, she has received many awards, which comprise two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. Though she was awarded numerous prizes over the years, theater has always been her first interest.
