April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) started her journey in music at the age of 7 when she started guitar and piano classes. When April was 12 She composed her debut single Different. The singer spent much of her time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with the piano. After a while, she began to travel with her dad and write either in NY as well as LA. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing with such things as social pressure and teen suicide in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart has her own following and also works as a lifestyle blogger at the well-known Ilia clean beauty brand. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it is not the whole picture. Because of this, her Instagram page doesn't shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around the issue neither. What's the message? The message is that we are more than the physical person we are. Our identities are complicated and include a myriad of dimensions. It's not my intention to let that be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to be a disability influencer where that's all I discuss because there are so many other things about my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her home in Nashville. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I go about everything normally and I've found my own method of adjusting the things. It's also part of me so I think it's important to talk about. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last an entire lifetime. She has been a source of inspiration in this regard. She has had periods where she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that exposed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social media with pride. For her, self-love is always a lengthy journey. It's a fact that I see for everyone, whatever they are struggling with. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly are aware of you and know your heart is really important because they'll be the people who will remind you what you concerned about?
